The 35th Anniversary of Harlem Week started off with "A Great Day In Harlem," event which kicked off on Sunday August 26th, 2009. One of the features of the day was the fashion show at Grant's Tomb.

New York State Atty General, Andrew Cuomo made an appearance at Harlem Hospital today 7/30/09. He told an audience in the hospital auditorium that his office is here to serve the community. He brought with him NY Senator Bill Perkins and NY Assemblyman Keith Wright. Representatives from Cuomo's office reported on heatlh care fraud, consumer fraud and civil rights they are takng legal action on at the moment.
